Keke Palmer speaks about the ill’s of the Industry5 min read

Actress Keke Palmer has spoken out and insists that the entertainment industry is constantly promoting a kind of behavior where pressure is placed on persons to literally be picture-perfect on social media, and she believes this is dangerous. Keke believes upcoming generations are growing up in a culture where it’s the norm to put on a front.
During a recent interview, she used Kylie Jenner as a prime example of how the effects of this behavior result in people not embracing who they really are.
When Keke was asked if she feels that social media makes it difficult to be authentic, she said that it “absolutely” does. She continued by stating so often people feel like it’s a competition and either degrade themselves or be so perfect they have nothing to say.
Palmer further explained. “In the sense of the Kardashians, it’s like, I’m going to show you so much perfect and be everything a woman should be or everything a man would like or love.”
Keke elaborated on her comment and made an observation involving Kylie Jenner’s highly publicized physical transformation and that Kylie was always told she was the ugly one of the family and because of that she went and apparently did everything the world deems as beautiful. The even crazier part to Keke is that everybody loves her for it.
The actress added, “What I find interesting is that this is something that is being displayed to my generation — showing young girls, young guys that if you do everything that society wants you to be, not only will you be praised for it but you will make money for it. You can be profitable for not being who you truly are.”
But guys do we agree with Keke, I mean you think she’s talking some sense here? Tweet us and let us know @fame95fm1
