Fay-Ann Lyons’ Album Debuts At No. 3 On Billboard5 min read

Trinidadian-based singer and songwriter Fay-Ann Lyons has achieved a remarkable feat with her VP Records debut album, Break The World, coming in at number three on the Billboard Reggae Chart. This notable achievement is a first for an individual artiste album in soca.
The album release follows a run of successful shows at Trinidad and Tobago carnival 2017 and is primed for additional events and exposure in Trinidad and the Caribbean. “We are so happy with the first week’s results and can’t wait to get out with the fans to support this album,” said Lyons.
On Break The World, the soca sensation delivers a piece of her soul on 16 tracks. The album features production work from Richie Beretta, Stadic Sound Productions, Keron ‘Sheriff Mumbles’ Thomas, Dwain Antrobus, Kevin Marshall, and Darien Bailey. In the male-dominated soca music genre, Lyons’ Break The World will stand as part of a legacy for the second-generation Caribbean artiste and a strong testament to the power and appeal of her artistry.
Speaking on this momentous occasion, Lyons expressed that “it’s a nice feeling to see my efforts to get my music and culture on a platform that the world acknowledges”.
