American Artistes Dominate Reggae Billboard Chart5 min read

AMERICAN artistes continue to dominate the Billboard Reggae Album chart as currently they occupy more than half the top 15 positions on the weekly table.

Leading the pack at number one is Common Kings with Lost In Paradise. This is the California band’s third week in peak position. New at number two is Hawaiian quartet Rebel Souljahz with their third studio effort 4 The People. This is their third entry on the Billboard reggae table, having peaked at number two in 2008 with Nothing to Hide and number five with 2009’s Bring Back The Days.

The number three spot is occupied by California’s Grammy-nominated Rebelution with former number one Falling Into Place. The group is also number six with Live At Red Rocks.

Falling to number 10 from number four is Fortunate Youth (from California) with their self-titled album, while new at number 14 is Minnesota-based Jon Wayne And The Pain’s debut Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe.

Elsewhere on the chart, the various artistes compilation Get Soca 2017 lands at number five, while Bob Marley & The Wailers moves two spots to number nine with The Legend Live: Santa Barbara Country Bowl November 25th 1979.

Grammy-nominated Raging Fyah is up to number 11 with Everlasting, while Grammy winner Ziggy Marley falls to number 13 with his self-titled effort.
