Producers hoping for a hit with Gage5 min read

Jamaica-born producer Michael ‘Shadow’ Millwood and Dwayne Ogilvie have been working tirelessly and after spending the past few years establishing and building their production label in the dancehall fraternity, they have now gained some traction with a new track titled ‘World Is Mine’ by dancehall artiste Gage.

The single, which was done on their Simple Youth Production imprint, became available for sale on all major digital streaming sites on July 28 through Zojak World Wide.

Though it is still early, the project appears to be receiving great feedback, and the song is already getting a lot of street credits and airplay.

Shadow shared that as a music producer, he is always looking for talented and up-and-coming acts, and he believes that this project will be a successful one for this year with the help of his partners and fellow producers Karim Kareem, Muzik Wilkie and Miguel ‘Tweedy’ Cooper, who all hail from east St Thomas.

He also stated that this track shows the versatility of Gage with his lyrics as the chorus is very catchy and they hope after all the work is done, it will not only be a hit here but also in the French market in the coming months.

Gage has always been one of those artistes who brings something different to the table each time he records a song, and this single has a lot of potential.”

With the momentum the single has been gaining, Shadow explained that there is a music video in the works as this single has a lot of potential.

The ‘Lyrical Session’ rhythm compilation also hosts acts like Ash, D Element, Cushites, Krome Steel, One Pong and Whyte Nyke.
