Soca singer Olatunji has been nominated in the ‘Afrosoca Artiste category’ at the 12th Nigeria Entertainment Awards. Olatunjo shared a photo of the invitation letter he received on his instagram where he wrote “such an honor to have Afrosoca recognized. As we continue to push Afrosoca global I give thanks to the Almighty and to the talented & strong team around me!!!”

Set to take place on September 3, 2017 in New York City, the Nigeria Entertainment Awards is an annual entertainment award ceremony with the primary objective of recognising African talents and African inspired content all across the globe. The award recognises talents in music, file and other areas of entertainment and this year being its 12th, it also recognises Africans making an impact within the continent and in the diaspora. Nigeria Entertainment Awards winners are selected via voting and that kicks off in july. Olatunji who is known for hits such as ‘Ola’ ‘Tun for me’ among others may even grace the stage for a special performance.
