Monique Greene, the woman who is currently suing rapper Nelly for sexual assault and defamation has been hospitalized for emotional distress. According to her attorney, it’s all stemming from the lawsuit she’s embroiled in with the rapper.

Sources report that Monique had been talking to a friend last week, but the friend called the police after the conversation was over. After talking to Monique, she felt that something was wrong and asked authorities to do a welfare check on her.

Upon meeting Monique at her home, the police found that it would probably be best to take her to the hospital. She reportedly volunteered to go and was released to go home after staying for a few hits last night but they did not believe she was suicidal.

Monique’s lawyer Karen Koehler, shared that the friend who called police was concerned about Monique’s “continuing severe emotional distress related to the alleged Nelly rape and the aftermath.”
