Thirteen years after the death of pioneering music producer Clement Dodd, his Studio One imprint has the top set on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart for the week ending December 16.

The #1 Sound from the Vaults Vol. 1 makes its debut in the top spot at the expense of last week’s king of the hill, Box Full of Steel (The Dubplates), which is now second.

The domino effect continues with Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley’s Stony Hill, slipping from second to third, and last week’s number three Poetry in Motion (SOJA) in turn losing a place to be fourth.

The Green’s Marching Orders bucks the trend, moving up a place from last week to close out the top five on the current listing.

Some of the names on the various artistes The #1 Sound From the Vaults Vol. 1 – The Gaylads do Tears from My Eyes and Alton Ellis has Knocking at My Door.

In the second half of the chart, Sizzla’s I’m Yours makes a return to the listing, just ahead of Chronixx’s Chronology, which has moved up two spots from the previous listing. From there on, it is all downhill, as the final three albums have all lost ground. Now at number eight, Mister Savana’s Havana Meets Kingston (Soundtrack) has lost a place from last week’s chart.

And the Simply the Best pair has lost the greatest ground, tumbling from its highest chart placings the previous week. Volume 57 is now ninth, falling four places from fifth, and Volume 56 has lost six places to be 10th on the current ranking.
