Lisa Hyper Makes Comeback With New EP4 min read

Dancehall artiste Felecia Gooden, more popularly known as Lisa Hyper is hoping to make a come back and reclaim her spot among the top female artistes in Jamaica.

Once a protégée  of incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel, Hyper, took a break from the life of music following the collapse of the Kartel-led Portmore Empire, the Gaza crew and most of its members pursued solo careers. Lisa Hyper, in a recent interview admitted to taking a back seat following the misfortunes of the Portmore Empire but explained that her absence was a strategy, one that is now setting her up for a comeback.

She also described the industry as changing, and once that happens she needed to change with it and now the person she has become, career-wise will show evidence of her doing just that.

Following the release an EP, Boss Up, on September 1, she said that it is a testament to her growth, maturity, learning from her mistakes and owning them up as an artiste.Boss Up has six tracks  and it is described as a motivational EP for her fans. It is also believed to be a challenge to all females to step up, letting women know that they can be CEOs and have control too.

Hyper, although highlighting her musical maturity, conceded that she would not turn her back on the raunchiness and she is hoping that her new approach will get her music back on the airwaves and will ultimately lead to more bookings.
